His mission revolves around empowering patients with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed lifestyle choices that can significantly mitigate the adverse effects of inflammation, ultimately elevating their overall quality of life.

Currently, Dr. Richbourgh is advancing his academic journey in the Applied Physiology program at Columbia University's Graduate School of Education, Health & Psychology. His pivotal research project, titled "How Does a Walking Intervention Impact the Lived Experiences of Black Americans with Rheumatoid Arthritis?" investigates the effectiveness of exercise as a feasible and impactful strategy for alleviating the chronic pain associated with inflammation, particularly within the rheumatological context. This study aims to explore the social, emotional, and physical experiences of Black Americans living with rheumatoid arthritis, highlighting how lifestyle modifications can play a crucial role in managing and potentially lessening the debilitating symptoms of this condition. Through his rigorous research efforts, Dr. Richbourgh is committed to uncovering actionable insights that combine scientific principles with practical applications, ultimately translating his findings into innovative interventions that can serve a broader population. His work not only addresses the immediate health needs of patients but also contributes to a growing body of knowledge that fosters a better understanding of how lifestyle changes can lead to meaningful improvements in health outcomes for individuals living with chronic conditions.
